They tend to have a rebellious streak and a desire to break free from societal norms and expectations.


The vibrant Aquarius has an innate desire to be wild, and so for you wily Aquarius' people, Wild Thing Pose in yoga meant to fit you. The wild thing pose, or Camatkarasana, is a yoga pose that embodies a sense of freedom, playfulness, and expressive movement. In this pose, the body takes a dynamic and expansive shape, with the chest lifted and the heart open. The spine arches, and one hand reaches towards the sky while the opposite leg extends backward, creating a graceful and flowing posture.


The Wild Thing pose can be seen as a physical representation of liberation, embracing the untamed and unrestrained aspects of oneself. To Come Into Wild Thing Pose:

  1. Begin in Downward-Facing Dog pose (Adho Mukha Shvanasana), with your hands shoulder-width apart and your feet hip-width apart, forming an inverted V shape.

  2. From Downward-Facing Dog, shift your weight onto your right hand and your right foot, as if you are coming into a three-legged Downward-Facing Dog.

  3. As you lift your left leg, pivot your body to the right, opening your chest and extending your right arm towards the right side of your mat.

  4. Continue to rotate your body, allowing your left foot to come to the ground behind you as your right leg extends and your right foot lands softly on the ground.

  5. Your body will now be in an arched position, with your left arm reaching towards the sky and your chest opening towards the ceiling.

  6. Keep your neck relaxed and gaze upwards if it feels comfortable for your neck.

  7. Hold the pose for a few breaths, feeling the stretch and expansion through your chest and shoulders.

  8. To come out of the pose, lower your left hand and your left foot back to the mat, returning to Downward-Facing Dog.

  9. Repeat the pose on the other side by shifting your weight onto your left hand and your left foot, lifting your left leg, and rotating your body to the right.
